Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulin
The thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin is used to test for an autoimmune condtion called Graves’ Disease. Graves’ Disease occors when the body’s immune system stimulates the overproduction of thyroid hormone. This creates a state known as autoimmune hyperthyroidism. Symptoms of hyperthyroidism include weight loss, rapid heart beat, and insomnia. |
